Furious Feline Fuels Life

Hi, I'm Amy

I love knitting, hiking, and sometimes both at the same time! Furious Feline was born out of a time of significant change and heartache in my life. I was reeling from loss and also questioning just who I was and what mattered to me.

I realized that the job or position I held didn't define me, my capabilities or lack thereof didn't define me either. I was free to pursue whatever I wanted. I was free to live authentically and to know I am loved for just being, well, me; who I was always created to be!

The Start

It can be easy to look back and only see the end of something. But as the saying goes "the end is just the beginning of something new". And it's true!

After having seen a short tutorial on how to dye yarn by hand I knew I needed to try it. I absolutely loved the way it sparked my creativity. I could dye any color I could dream up and customize color palettes for my crochet and knitting projects.

Soon, I became a vendor at a local market and I realized people liked what I was making. However, it initially felt very vulnerable to put my creations on display, for people to see things that I had dreamed up. Would I be accepted? But that wasn't the right question. Do I love what I do? Would I do it even if no one else liked it..? YES!

The Choice

Back tracking in the timeline some, is the story of Mr. Fury.

I wasn't expecting to adopt another cat--I already had 2. He was dropped in my lap by the lawn care man at a previous job I had. His eyes were very infected and he was really skinny. I thought about taking him back to the area of the property where he was found and leaving him, hoping his momma cat would come back for him.

But I knew he needed help. He wasn't going to make it without veterinary care. And I'm sure glad I decided to keep him and care for him. He's always up to something and usually bringing my husband and I great joy!

The Impact

Though Mr. Fury was once initially unwanted, his life has had an impact on me.

He is audacious, daring, he is loved. He was worth saving, and he's uniquely wild. And now, our fun-loving, bold, slinky, mischievous and skittish kitty is the inspiration behind our brand, where we strive to be uniquely bold, authentic, and true, daring to live as though we matter too.

No life is worthless, not even a scraggly street cat. And sometimes we need a little help to realize how valuable we are, or how important other people are. And sometimes, we're afforded an opportunity where we can give back and provide that same help lent to us.

The Rest of the Story

Mr. Fury is just a cat. But his story is not very different from many unborn babies, their mothers considering abortion. Unwanted, not seen as valuable, yet full of potential and beauty.

At Furious Feline we value every life, father, mother, child & those not born yet. We fight back against the idea that any life is disposable. A percentage of our proceeds are donated to Rum River Life Choices center, located in the Central MN area. They're a Christ-centered clinic focusing on education, support, and clinical care, offered free of charge to members of the community. With a community, encouragement, and needed resources, Rum River is helping expectant mothers choose LIFE!

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
